Egyptian pound holds near 51.8 per US dollar amid stable bank rates

On June 7‑8 2026 the Egyptian pound remained steady against major currencies. The US dollar was quoted around 51.75 EGP for buying and 51.90 EGP for selling across the Central Bank of Egypt and major banks such as the National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, and CIB. The euro traded near 60 EGP, the Kuwaiti dinar around 165‑166 EGP, the Saudi riyal about 13.8 EGP, and the UAE dirham near 14.1 EGP, with similar stability reported by multiple Egyptian banks.

The uniform rates reflect a period of relative calm in the official foreign‑exchange market, with banks updating buy and sell prices regularly. Consumers, importers, and travelers continue to monitor these rates closely for savings, transfers, and travel planning.
