Egyptian banks list US dollar rates for June 26, 2026

Egyptian banks posted their US dollar buying and selling rates on Friday, 26 June 2026 as the banking system entered a weekend holiday. The Central Bank of Egypt’s reference rate was 49.47 EGP per $ buy and 49.57 EGP per $ sell. Individual banks quoted rates ranging from 49.37 EGP to 49.65 EGP for buying and 49.45 EGP to 49.75 EGP for selling.

In the same release, several Egyptian banks listed the Saudi riyal rates, with prices between 13.09 EGP and 13.34 EGP per riyal depending on the institution. The Central Bank’s rate was about 13.18 EGP buy and 13.21 EGP sell.

The updates came after the central bank’s monetary policy committee raised its overnight deposit and lending rates by 200 basis points and issued 55 billion EGP of treasury bills to fund the state budget. Local banks also cut savings‑certificate rates following the policy shift.
