Egyptian Premier League 2026‑27 schedule and cup draw announced

The Egyptian Football Association released the full match schedule for the 2026‑27 Egyptian Premier League. The opening fixture sees Al‑Maqawloon Al‑Arab (Contractors) face Tala'ea El‑Geish on 22 August 2026, with subsequent games against Al‑Masry, Al‑Ahly, Zamalek and other clubs throughout the season.

In parallel, the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association announced the group stage draw for the 2026‑27 Egypt Cup (Capital of Egypt Cup). Four groups of five teams each were formed: Group 1 includes Zamalek, Wadi Degla, ZED, Tala'ea El‑Geish and Al‑Iskandary; Group 2 features Pyramids, Smouha, Al‑Bank Al‑Ahly, Modern Sport and Al‑Qanah; Group 3 contains Al‑Ahly, Eastern Enppi, El‑Gouna, Al‑Maqawloon Al‑Arab and Petro Asyut; Group 4 comprises Al‑Masry, Ceramica Cleopatra, Port Suez Petro‑Gulf, Ghazl Al‑Mahalla and Abu Qir for Fertilizers.
