Egyptian Premier League 2026‑27 Season Schedule Unveiled

The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association held the draw for the 2026‑27 Egyptian Premier League, confirming a 20‑team competition that begins on 21 August 2026 and runs through May 2027. The season will feature three newly promoted clubs – Abu Qir for Fertilizers, Al Qanah and Petroleum Assiut – completing the league roster.

The league adopts a two‑stage format. In the first stage each club plays a single round‑robin (19 matches). Afterward the top six teams enter a championship group to contest the title and African competition spots, while the remaining clubs (positions 7‑20) form a relegation group to fight for survival, playing additional matches within their groups.

Key fixtures were released, with Al Ahly opening against Eastern Enppi on 23 August at Cairo Stadium, and Al Ittihad Al Skandari starting its campaign versus Zamalek on 21 August. The full schedule lists dates and venues for all clubs through February 2027.
