Egyptian Senate opens new session at New Administrative Capital headquarters

The Egyptian Senate has officially opened the second ordinary session of its second legislative term. This session marks a historic milestone as members convene for the first time at the Senate's new headquarters located in the New Administrative Capital.

During the opening ceremony, Senate President Essam Farid emphasized that the national mandate requires members to prioritize the country's supreme interests above all else. He described the new architectural complex as a symbol of Egypt's ancient civilization blended with modern development. Farid expressed gratitude to President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi for his efforts in national security and development, and specifically thanked the Egyptian Armed Forces Engineering Authority for overseeing the construction of the new facility.

Farid also commended senators for their engagement with citizens across various governorates during the parliamentary recess, noting that direct communication with the public is the core of parliamentary work.
