Egyptian Senator calls for modern development project financing
Amr Ibrahim Abu El-Ayoun, a member of the Egyptian Senate, has submitted a formal request to discuss government policies regarding modern financing mechanisms for infrastructure and development projects.
During a general session presided over by Counselor Essam El-Din Farid, Abu El-Ayoun argued that the current economic stage requires a shift from traditional financing to more effective investment tools based on financial innovation. He emphasized the need to optimize the use of unutilized state assets and direct liquidity toward productive activities that support the real economy, create sustainable jobs, and bolster the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The Senator called on the Ministry of Planning to present a comprehensive national strategy to stimulate productive investment and improve the management of state resources. He noted that supporting startups and small businesses is essential for driving technological and industrial innovation, integrating the informal economy, and expanding the state's tax base.
