Egyptian universities announce admission and housing updates

Cairo National University has announced its internal coordination schedule for admissions for the 2026-2027 academic year. Results for students with a General Secondary School Certificate will be released on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Results for students holding equivalent Arab or foreign certificates, STEM school graduates, Nile certificates, and Al-Azhar secondary students will be announced on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

The university emphasized that admissions are based on student grades within the quotas set by the Council of National Universities. It also warned students and parents against dealing with unofficial intermediaries or social media accounts claiming to represent the university, noting that tuition payments must only be made through official channels like Fawry after admission results are confirmed.

Separately, Capital University has opened applications for its student dormitories for the 2026-2027 academic year. Applications for returning students are open until August 20, 2026, while applications for new students will begin following the various stages of university coordination. Eligibility requires students to be regular enrollees who do not reside in Greater Cairo and must pass medical examinations and drug testing.
