EAIE 2026 conference in Glasgow focuses on global higher education cooperation

The EAIE 2026 Conference and Exhibition, held in Glasgow, United Kingdom, from September 8–11, focused on international development and cooperation within the rapidly changing global higher education landscape.

Lithuanian institutions, including Kauno Kolegija and the Study in Lithuania team, participated to present study opportunities. Kauno Kolegija also represented the UNINOVIS alliance, alongside other European university alliances such as Across AI and COLOURS, to discuss the future, sustainability, and impact of European higher education networks.

Taiwan participated through a delegation of 24 institutions, including the Higher Education International Cooperation Foundation and 21 universities. The delegation emphasized cooperation in critical technology sectors, such as semiconductors and artificial intelligence. Taiwan highlighted its semiconductor training programs, which attract students from several European nations, as a key area for deepening academic and industrial partnerships.
