Egyptian universities prepare for 2026/2027 academic year

Egyptian universities, including Qena and Aswan, have announced their readiness for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year.

Qena University, led by President Dr. Ahmed Akawi, has completed comprehensive reviews of lecture halls, laboratories, and educational facilities. Preparations also extend to university dormitories, ensuring that housing, dining, and safety standards are met for resident students. The university is focusing on integrating security, maintenance, and medical services to ensure a disciplined start to the term.

Aswan University is implementing a series of organizational and academic measures. Under the leadership of Acting President Dr. Ashraf Imam Abdel Rady, the university has decided to establish an ‘Arts Kiosk’ and a Technical Center for Arts to foster student creativity and talent. Academically, the university has directed colleges to finalize lecture schedules and academic advising assignments. Additionally, specific programs are being developed to welcome new students and introduce them to campus life and academic systems.
