Egyptian university hospitals report record medical services in 2025‑2026 fiscal year
Beni Suef University hospitals logged 1,373,976 medical, diagnostic and therapeutic services during the 2025‑2026 fiscal year. The facilities performed 17,000 surgeries, handled 420,000 patient visits, conducted 82,000 imaging examinations, processed 725,000 laboratory tests and provided thousands of dialysis, chemotherapy and maternity services. The report highlighted ongoing upgrades to equipment and staffing to improve care quality.
Badr University Hospital in Cairo’s University of the Capital reported more than 650,000 medical and diagnostic services, 5,043 surgeries and 770 births in the same period. The data include 127,674 outpatient visits, 100,941 emergency cases, 12,000 dialysis sessions, 1,323 chemotherapy sessions and over 71,000 radiology exams. The hospital also noted recent expansions such as a new hematology clinic and a laser‑assisted urology suite.
Both institutions emphasized their role in delivering health care, medical education and research while aligning with Egypt’s national health‑sector vision.
