Egyptian wrestler Ziad Haggag missing in Slovakia

Ziad Haggag, a 19-year-old rising talent on the Egyptian youth wrestling team, has gone missing following his participation in the World Wrestling Championships in Slovakia.

Reports indicate that Haggag, who competes in the 61kg freestyle category, left the team's accommodation after completing his matches. According to sources within the Egyptian Wrestling Federation, the athlete informed officials he would return to the group after having lunch, but he never returned to the hotel.

The Egyptian Wrestling Federation has notified the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which is now investigating the circumstances surrounding his disappearance. There were no known disputes or conflicts between Haggag and the team members prior to the incident. Authorities are working to determine his current location and the reasons for his departure.
