Egypt's Alexandria Governor and Labor Minister Launch Youth Employment Initiative
Engineer Ayman Attia, governor of Alexandria, met with Labor Minister Hassan Raddad to expand vocational training and create new jobs for young people. The officials discussed widening training programmes, awarding employment contracts to graduates and people with disabilities, and granting awards to support small‑business projects. They emphasized cooperation with the private sector and alignment with President Abdel Fattah al‑Sisi’s directives to build a more efficient labour market and develop human capital.
The ceremony included the signing of work contracts for graduates of training centres, distribution of certificates and prizes, and a presentation of successful partnership models between the ministry and industry. Both leaders stressed that the initiative is part of a broader strategy to link training directly to market needs, improve investment climate, and sustain economic and social development in Alexandria and across Egypt.
