Egypt's Ambassador Iman Yakout concludes mission in Congo
Iman Yakout, the Egyptian Ambassador to the Republic of the Congo, has concluded her diplomatic mission in Brazzaville. During her final official audiences, she met with Senate President Pierre Ngolo and Minister of the Interior and Decentralization Jean Olessongo Ondaye.
Her tenure was marked by efforts to institutionalize bilateral relations, including the first session of political consultations between the Egyptian and Congolese foreign ministries in July. Yakout emphasized that the historical ties between the two nations are designed to be independent of individual personnel changes.
Key areas of cooperation highlighted during her departure include security and economic interests. Yakout noted the security of the Egyptian community in Congo and mentioned the presence of Egyptian companies such as Arab Contractors and Petrojet. She also expressed a commitment to supporting her successor to ensure the continuity of these bilateral achievements.
