Egypt's Central Pesticide Laboratory undergoes technological upgrade
The Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation has announced the completion of infrastructure upgrades at the Central Pesticide Laboratory. The development focuses on the pesticide analysis research department, equipping it with an integrated system of advanced chemical and chromatographic analysis tools.
New equipment includes sophisticated liquid and gas chromatography devices connected to mass spectrometers, as well as modern spectroscopic analysis tools. These technologies are intended to enhance the precision of chemical identification, improve the detection of impurities, and ensure that pesticide preparations meet approved technical standards and specifications.
The upgrade aims to increase the laboratory's capacity to process larger volumes of samples while reducing the time required to issue analytical reports and certificates. This modernization is expected to support the agricultural sector, assist export-related regulatory bodies, and improve public health and environmental safety by tightening control over circulated products.
