Egypt's Civil Aviation Minister discusses AI and aerospace cooperation

Egyptian Civil Aviation Minister Sameh El-Hefny met with Julio Benia Hector, President of the Latin American and Caribbean Civil Aviation Commission (LACAC), during the Aerospace Future Technology Symposium. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in air transport, aviation safety, security, and digital transformation. A key priority identified was the integration of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency and air traffic management.

On the sidelines of the Alamein International Aerospace Exhibition (EIAS 2026), Minister El-Hefny also inspected the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport branch in New Alamein City. He reviewed the academy's facilities, including the College of Artificial Intelligence and the College of Engineering and Technology, emphasizing the importance of investing in education and technology to prepare national cadres for the evolving aviation industry.
