Egypt's Disability Council Heads Giza Women's Rights Seminar
The National Council for Persons with Disabilities (Egypt) took part in an awareness seminar for women in Giza Governorate, organized by the Giza Governorate office in partnership with the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority. The event, titled “Together Towards an Inclusive Society (Protection – Empowerment – Equal Opportunities)”, focused on informing women, including those with disabilities, about their constitutional rights and the provisions of Law No. 10 of 2018 on the rights of persons with disabilities.
Council representative Dalia Atif highlighted the council’s “My Family Is My Strength” initiative, which aims to raise family awareness of disability rights and promote inclusive participation. A cyber‑security segment warned participants about personal data protection and online extortion, encouraging safe digital practices. Attendees affirmed the need for continued programs that empower women with disabilities and support their full involvement in family and community life.
