Egypt's Education Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif Honored by Hiroshima University
Hiroshima University in Japan awarded an honorary doctorate to Egypt's Minister of Education and Technical Education, Mohamed Abdel Latif, in recognition of the reforms he has led in the Egyptian education system over the past two years. University President Mitsu Ouchi highlighted the minister’s role in advancing Egypt‑Japan educational cooperation, noting joint initiatives in programming, artificial intelligence, financial literacy and teacher training.
The ceremony was attended by the university’s senior faculty, Egyptian Ambassador to Japan Raji Al‑Atrebi, and other diplomatic officials. Abdel Latif thanked the university, dedicated the honor to all Egyptian teachers, and pledged to expand collaborative projects to further develop Egypt’s education sector.
