Egypt's higher education ministry registers 57,000 for 2026 aptitude tests
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that 57,000 Egyptian secondary‑school graduates have registered on the Tansik digital portal to sit the 2026 aptitude (capacity) tests required for admission to certain university faculties. Dr. Adel Abdel Gafar, the ministry’s spokesperson, urged students to complete registration before the portal closes at 7 p.m. on Thursday, 6 August 2026.
Students can choose their preferred test type and faculty—such as Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Music Education, Visual Arts, Sports Sciences, and related programmes—through the online system, pay the fee via approved electronic channels, and print a receipt confirming their appointment. The ministry and participating colleges will post results directly on the portal after the exams.
The registration period includes detailed guidance, instructional videos and infographics published on the ministry’s official social‑media channels to help applicants complete the process correctly.
