Egypt's Innovators Fund advances university teams in waste and digital challenges
The Egypt's Innovators and Prodigies Care Fund, in collaboration with the Institute of Leadership Preparation in Helwan, has announced the advancement of top teams in two major innovation competitions for university students.
In the “Reuse, Innovate, Build” competition focused on university waste management, top teams from various universities and institutes have qualified for the national stage. The competition aims to encourage students to develop sustainable solutions for campus waste, covering tracks such as smart monitoring technologies, engineering innovation, recycling, and green business models.
Additionally, the “Digital Innovation Challenge 2026” has selected 30 teams from 23 universities to advance to its final stage. This competition saw participation from 610 students across 244 teams. The projects address priority areas including environmental sustainability, smart education, digital health, and smart agriculture, aiming to foster a generation capable of navigating rapid technological shifts.
