Egypt's Investment Minister Mohamed Farid says youth are key to a competitive economy

Egypt's Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Dr. Mohamed Farid held an open dialogue with university students participating in the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones' summer training program. He stressed that developing human capital is a top priority for building a modern, innovative, knowledge‑based economy, saying that "investment in people" yields the highest returns.

Farid explained that the training programme exposes students to the investment ecosystem, digital transformation, business‑environment reforms and company‑formation procedures, aiming to create a skilled workforce that can attract domestic and foreign investors. The students welcomed the chance to link academic study with practical experience, expressed confidence in Egypt's economic reforms, and pledged to continue developing their skills, echoing the minister’s advice to "never stop learning".
