Egypt's Local Development Minister inspects public services

Egypt's Minister of Local Development and Environment, Dr. Manal Awad, has conducted a series of field inspections aimed at improving public services and environmental awareness across various sites.

In Dakahlia Governorate, Minister Awad and Governor Tariq Marzouk inspected new waste management equipment, including ten tricycles provided to support residential waste collection in Mansoura. The visit also included an inspection of the 'Mansoura Transport' system, a new VIP-category public transportation service designed to improve urban mobility. The inspection was attended by several regional governors, representatives from the European Union, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Additionally, Dr. Awad performed unannounced inspections of environmental awareness centers in Ezbet al-Walda and al-Maasara to assess their readiness to provide community services. She also visited the Ministry's headquarters in Maadi, inspecting the central laboratory for pollutant analysis and the ministry's warehouse to ensure better logistical management and the efficient handling of supplies.
