Egypt's Minister Manal Awad Launches Interviews for 1,370 Applicants to Fill 119 Local Leadership Posts
Dr. Manal Awad, Egypt's Minister of Local Development and Environment, chaired the Supreme Leadership Committee to conduct personal interviews for candidates applying to 119 senior positions in local administration across all governorates. About 1,370 applicants meeting the eligibility criteria will be interviewed from Sunday through Tuesday, with the process continuing throughout the month. The committee will assess candidates' experience, ideas and proposals to improve local government performance, emphasizing merit, transparency and the infusion of new talent into municipal leadership.
The recruitment covers top‑level roles such as General Secretaries, Assistant Secretaries and heads of centers, cities and districts, aiming to enhance service delivery and drive development at the regional level.
