Egypt's Ministry of Transport denies fake Facebook accounts for Minister Kamel al-Wazir

The Egyptian Ministry of Transport has issued a statement denying the existence of any official Facebook accounts belonging to the Minister of Transport, Kamel al-Wazir.

The Ministry identified ten specific fraudulent pages operating under various names, including ‘Fans of الفريق كامل الوزير’ and ‘Minister of Happiness – Egypt’. The Ministry clarified that it is not responsible for any news, statements, or transactions attributed to the Minister on these pages, noting that such content has not been authorized by him.

Authorities confirmed that all official news and statements regarding Minister Kamel al-Wazir are published exclusively through the Ministry of Transport’s official website and its verified social media platforms. The Ministry stated that it will take all necessary legal measures against the accounts involved in this impersonation.
