Egypt's National Council for Persons with Disabilities Launches Phase Four of “My Family is My Strength” Initiative
Dr. Iman Karem, General Supervisor of Egypt’s National Council for Persons with Disabilities, chaired a nationwide coordination meeting with provincial coordinators of the “My Family is My Strength” (أسرتي قوتي) programme. She thanked the governors for their support during the first three phases and highlighted the role of local authorities in identifying needs, implementing activities and documenting outcomes.
The meeting presented the implementation plan for phase four (2026‑2027), outlining the programme’s vision, target groups, performance indicators and reporting mechanisms. Dalia Atif, the council’s Women and Child Affairs officer, detailed the operational framework, while Dalia Zakhari, project consultant, reviewed ongoing council projects and their integration with the initiative. Participants discussed expected challenges and agreed on continued technical support and close coordination to expand services for thousands of persons with disabilities and their families across Egypt’s governorates.
