Egypt's PM calls for global AI principles and rejects Palestinian displacement

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly addressed the United Nations General Assembly, calling for a global dialogue to establish international principles for the use of artificial intelligence. He emphasized the need for a framework that balances innovation with responsibility, focusing on privacy protection, transparency, accountability, and non-discrimination under human supervision and international law. Madbouly also stressed the importance of technology transfer, digital infrastructure funding, and skill development to ensure equitable access to technological advancements.

Regarding the Palestinian issue, Madbouly reiterated Egypt’s categorical rejection of any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land, including the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. He stated that the international community bears a clear responsibility to halt systematic violations of international law and asserted that peace cannot be built upon the uprooting of Palestinians or the alteration of the demographic reality of Palestinian territories.
