Egypt's PM Madbouly unveils Sinai investment push and national export drive

Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly chaired a meeting to review progress on stimulating investment in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula. Attendees included the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, officials from the Financial Regulatory Authority, the National Agency for Sinai Development and the Egyptian Stock Exchange. The government highlighted a package of incentives for investors, legislative updates, and the recent opening of an Investor Services Center in South Sinai that consolidates licensing and approval procedures to speed up project delivery.

In the same session the minister announced a national initiative to boost exports from Egyptian governorates. The programme will assess companies’ export readiness, raise awareness of foreign‑market requirements and target regions based on industrial activity, logistics and export potential. A new electronic platform for trade investigations was also introduced to provide real‑time support to producers, exporters and importers facing protective measures, marking a digital shift in the handling of commercial disputes.
