Egypt's President Sisi meets Libya's PM Dbeibeh in Al‑Alamein

President Abdel Fattah al‑Sisi received Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, head of Libya's Government of National Unity, in the Egyptian city of Al‑Alamein. The meeting was attended by Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly, Foreign Minister Badr Abdel‑Atiy, and Intelligence Chief Hassan Rushdi, as well as Libyan officials including National Security Advisor Ibrahim Dbeibeh and Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs Walid Al‑Lafi.

Both sides stressed historic and fraternal ties and Egypt's commitment to a unified, stable Libya. They discussed expanding cooperation in electricity, energy, infrastructure, reconstruction and boosting trade and investment. The talks also covered regional and international issues, agreeing to deepen coordination to preserve regional peace and resolve conflicts through dialogue and peaceful means.
