13 teachers injured in microbus crash while traveling to vocational exam centers in Qena, Egypt
On Sunday, a microbus carrying 13 female teachers assigned to monitor technical diploma examinations overturned near Abutshat in Qena Governorate. All 13 sustained injuries but no lives were lost. The injured teachers were taken to Al‑Omnium Hospital in Najah Hamadi and to the central hospital in Frashout for treatment. Deputy Minister of Education for Qena, Zaar Tarek Saad Eddin, visited the hospitals with senior education officials to assess their condition and ensure they receive full medical, psychological and social support. He confirmed that the teachers are stable and that arrangements are being made for alternative exam supervisors in accordance with ministry directives. The incident was reported to the national emergency network, prompting a rapid response from health services.
