Egyptian university capacity tests start July 19, 2026

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that the capacity tests required for admission to several Egyptian university faculties will commence on Sunday, 19 July 2026. Up to the reporting date, 9,871 high‑school graduates have registered through the official coordination website, with the online registration window open until 7 p.m. on Thursday, 6 August 2026.

The tests, costing 800 Egyptian pounds each and payable only via electronic channels, cover faculties that mandate the exam, including fine arts, applied arts, music and arts education, visual arts, and sports sciences. Students must upload their high‑school seat number, a copy of the seat number, a recent photograph, and, for sports‑science applicants, two photographs.

The Ministry provided step‑by‑step guidance for using the official coordination portal to select preferred faculties, book test dates and locations, and print the confirmation slip. Official social‑media channels also share infographics and video tutorials to assist candidates. The same portal will later be used for the 2027 university coordination process.
