Egzamin ’84 film trailer released

The first trailer for ‘Egzamin ’84’, a major Polish feature film, has been released. The production, funded by thousands of individual donors through crowdfunding, is the largest of its kind for the distributor Rafael Film.

The film tells the true story of students in Włoszczowa who, in the autumn of 1984, organized an occupation strike to defend the presence of crosses in their classrooms. The protesters faced significant consequences, risking their high school exams, university prospects, and future careers. One of the protest leaders, Alicja Groszek, is portrayed by actress Sara Lityńska.

Directed by Mateusz Olszewski and co-written by Angelika Olszewska, the film features a cast including Sebastian Fabijański, Rafał Zawierucha, and Dominika Kluźniak. The production aims to explore universal themes of courage, personal convictions, and the pressure of social conformity, drawing parallels between the historical events and the modern challenges faced by young people.
