EH Bildu launches internal process for 2027 elections

The political coalition EH Bildu has launched its internal organizational process in preparation for the 2027 Basque and municipal elections. This cycle will involve renewing the Basque Parliament, the General Assemblies of Álava, Bizkaia, and Gipuzkoa, and the various municipal councils.

As part of this preparatory phase, the coalition is working to establish electoral commissions for the territories of Araba, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa, and Navarre, as well as for major cities including Vitoria-Gasteiz, Bilbao, Donostia, and Pamplona. Between August 27 and 29, members will vote on the composition of the commissions responsible for overseeing and monitoring candidate lists.

These commissions are tasked with analyzing and proposing candidacies that meet specific criteria for political suitability, territorial balance, diversity, and parity. The commissions will include representatives from each political party within the coalition organized in the respective electoral districts, alongside members elected by the assembly.
