EH Bildu launches Navarra and Pamplona political candidacies

EH Bildu has officially presented its candidacies for the Presidency of Navarra and the Mayoralty of Pamplona. Laura Aznal will lead the list for the regional government, while Joseba Asiron seeks to retain the position of Mayor of Pamplona.

During the presentation at the Navarra Arena, Aznal emphasized the need to move ‘from change to transformation,’ focusing on consolidating progressive majorities. A central pillar of the campaign is housing reform. Aznal highlighted that approximately 500 families in Navarra are at risk of losing their homes, arguing that housing should be treated as a basic right rather than a business.

In a separate local development, the Mayor of Donostia, Jon Insausti, announced measures to protect vulnerable tenants from evictions by large property owners such as Azora and Naiz Homes. The city is offering to guarantee rents and cover potential damages if these companies maintain affordable rental prices through the Alokabide program. If these proposals are rejected, the municipality commits to providing alternative housing solutions via the public housing stock.
