Şehitkamil Municipality expands affordable baklava project

The Şehitkamil Municipality has expanded its ‘Şekabel Baklava’ project to the Kuzeyşehir and Gazikent regions. Led by Mayor Umut Yılmaz under the slogan ‘Loyalty in Every Slice,’ the initiative aims to provide high-quality baklava to citizens at an affordable price of 660 TL per kilogram.

The project serves a dual purpose: providing accessible food for low-income families and supporting social causes. All proceeds from the sales are allocated as scholarship support for the children of martyrs and veterans.

Following high demand at the new locations, Mayor Yılmaz stated that the municipality intends to increase the number of sales points across different districts of Şehitkamil to reach more people.
