Şehitkamil Municipality hosts sea camp for students

Şehitkamil Municipality organized a one-day sea camp at Erzin Burnaz Beach for thousands of high school students and recent graduates. The initiative, launched by Mayor Umut Yılmaz in 2024, aims to support the social lives of young people following the academic year.

The program included transportation, security, and daily organization to provide students with a period of rest and social interaction. Mayor Yılmaz stated that the goal is to support youth not only in their education but also in their social development, noting that the camp is planned to continue through 2027.
