Ehpad Barberousse in Haguenau to raise nursing home rates

Ehpad Barberousse, located in Haguenau, has long been the most affordable nursing home in the Alsace region, with monthly room rates at 1,933 euros. However, due to a growing deficit, the public facility is set to increase its prices by 15% this autumn.

Director Mathieu Rocher notes that while the facility lacks the luxury amenities of more expensive Strasbourg-based homes, such as Michelin-starred chefs, it maintains quality through a hot meal service provided by the Haguenau-Wissembourg-Bischwiller hospital center kitchens. Meals are served directly to residents by cooks to accommodate individual tastes.
