Ehrenfriedersdorf hosts fifth Musik Neinerlaa music festival

The town of Ehrenfriedersdorf in the Erzgebirge region is hosting the fifth edition of the Musik Neinerlaa festival. The event features nine different stages, each named after traditional dishes from the 'Neunerlei' Christmas meal sequence, with thirty performances scheduled over a weekend.

This year’s festival follows the town being named the ‘Landmusikort des Jahres 2026’ (Music Town of the Year 2026) by the German Music Council and the Federal Music Association of Choirs and Orchestras, an honor accompanied by an 18,000 euro prize. The festival, which began in 2022, has grown into a significant fixture in the regional cultural calendar.
