Ehrlich Brothers film guest appearance for ‘Unter uns’

The Ehrlich Brothers, a well-known magic duo, have filmed a guest appearance in the long-running RTL soap opera ‘Unter uns’. The magicians are playing themselves rather than fictional characters, stating that they wanted to focus on their professional skill of magic.

This appearance comes at a period of uncertainty for the series, which has been produced in Cologne since 1994. RTL recently announced that it does not intend to continue the show beyond the end of the year, citing ‘changed economic conditions for daily fictional programming’. Despite this, the production company Ufa Serial Drama is reportedly exploring options to continue the stories from the fictional Schillerallee. Chris Ehrlich noted that while the show's future with RTL was uncertain when they agreed to the appearance, they felt it would be ‘absurd’ to withdraw now.
