Eichenried Youth Golf Team Dominates Bavarian Championships

The Eichenried junior golf squad achieved strong results at the Bavarian Championships held from 29 – 31 May at the Reichswald, Pottenstein‑Weidenloh and Oberfranken courses. Individual top‑10 finishes included Elena Fricke (7th, AK 18 girls), Sophie Günther (10th, AK 16 girls), Lea‑Céline Lagneau (5th, AK 14 girls) and Vincent Poruba (4th, AK 14 boys). The team also performed well at the second Bavarian Golf Association qualification tournament for AK 14 on 6 – 7 June in Ebersberg, with boys Poruba and Constantin Fritz placing 4th and 7th, and girls Mathilda Müller, Lagneau and Charlene Steinhauser each securing top‑10 spots. Coach Hans‑Christian Buchfelner and his staff were credited for the athletes’ development and competitive spirit, and the club looks forward to further successes this summer.
