Eight men charged in alleged White House UFC event attack plot

Eight men from six states face various charges, including conspiracy, following an alleged plot to attack the UFC Freedom 250 event held on the White House South Lawn on June 14, 2026.

According to court records and reports, the group allegedly planned to stage a demonstration near the White House and deploy drones rigged with explosives. The intended goal was to trigger a panicked evacuation, which would then funnel high-value targets into the line of fire from sniper positions.

The plot was reportedly uncovered after a mother in Ohio became concerned by her son Tycen Proper’s behavior and alerted authorities. Investigators also noted that one suspect, Michael Thomas, discussed being unable to afford the drones and suggested panhandling to fund the operation. One suspect allegedly expressed conspiracy theories regarding the government to authorities. The suspects have pleaded not guilty.
