Eight nations condemn Israel's rejection of Gaza peace roadmap

Foreign ministers from eight Arab and Islamic nations—Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, the UAE, Turkey, Pakistan, and Indonesia—issued a joint statement condemning Israel's rejection of a roadmap to implement Donald Trump's comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict. The roadmap, which has been supported by UN Security Council Resolution 2803, was accepted by Palestinian factions.

The ministers expressed concern that Israel's refusal to implement the plan and its rejection of the establishment of a Palestinian state pose a direct threat to regional peace and undermine international efforts. They held Israel responsible for any resulting deterioration in field conditions or the disruption of peace efforts.

The proposed roadmap includes several key components: the disarming of factions, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, the deployment of an international stability force, and the transfer of administrative authority to the National Committee for Gaza, alongside reconstruction efforts. The ministers called for continued active U.S. engagement to ensure Israel complies with its commitments and urged the Peace Council to take immediate measures to protect the plan.
