Eight Sleep launches Pod 6 smart sleep system

Eight Sleep has launched the Pod 6, the sixth generation of its intelligent sleep system. The new model features a redesigned, smaller Hub that can fit underneath bed frames, and a Cover equipped with nine times more biometric sensors than the previous generation. These sensors track sleep stages, heart rate, breathing, and snoring, feeding data into an AI engine called Autopilot to automatically adjust bed temperatures.

The Pod 6 offers improved temperature regulation, adjusting 20% faster than the Pod 5. The system is now available in solo sizes for single sleepers, as well as standard sizes for Queen, King, and California King beds. Pricing starts at $1,999 for solo models and $2,699 for standard sizes.

Beyond consumer wellness, Eight Sleep is seeking FDA approval to transition the Pod into a regulated medical device for treating sleep apnea in the United States. The company, which recently reached a $1.5 billion valuation following a $50 million investment from Tether, is also expanding its international presence, with significant growth noted in markets such as China.
