Eindhoven Airport investigates security breach after vehicle penetrates fence

Eindhoven Airport is launching an investigation into its security protocols following an incident where a woman drove a vehicle through the airport's perimeter fencing. The woman, who was reportedly in a state of confusion and naked, breached the fence near parking lot P5 and ended up near parked aircraft.

The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, responsible for airport security, stated that the situation was quickly brought under control and that there was no danger to the runways or flight operations. While the woman received necessary care, she was not detained. The airport management is now evaluating whether existing security measures and protocols meet required national and international standards to prevent future breaches.
