Eindhoven Pride parade sees thousands of attendees and Veldhoven officials join
On Saturday 13 June, the Eindhoven Pride parade attracted roughly 20,000 visitors, with about 50 participating groups, music and rainbow flags lining the route. The event’s theme emphasized equality, with organizers stating, “Everyone is equal and everyone may love each other.”
Municipality Veldhoven joined the celebration, sending a delegation that included deputy mayor Huub Stroeks leading a group of regional mayors, and staff who staffed an information market alongside COC Eindhoven. The participation underscored the town’s commitment to inclusion and its local inclusivity agenda.
The pride week concludes with the Pride Vibes Festival on the city hall square, featuring performances by 2 Unlimited, Samantha Steenwijk and Megan Schoonbrood. Visitors expressed personal freedom, with one remarking, “Everyone is beautiful here.” The parade and subsequent events highlight the growing visibility of LGBTQ+ communities in the region.
