Einstein-Bachelet school in Rome disrupted by copper cable theft

The Einstein-Bachelet technical institute in Rome has been forced to reorganize its operations following a major theft of copper cables at its Boccea branch on via Nazareth. The theft, discovered in late August, caused extensive damage to the building's electrical, telecommunications, and fire safety infrastructures.

In addition to the loss of copper wiring, the vandals damaged electrical panels, conduits, and support structures. The theft also severed telephone lines and cut fire-resistant cables essential for the automatic fire and smoke detection system, leaving the facility without automatic fire protection.

As a result, the school has had to relocate classes to its via Pasquale II location, implementing a split-shift schedule to accommodate students. The City of Rome is currently assessing the total extent of the damage and working to secure the necessary funds to repair the systems and restore full safety to the campus.
