Timothy Chandler extends contract with Eintracht Frankfurt through 2026/27
Veteran US defender Timothy Chandler has signed a new deal with Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, extending his contract until the end of the 2026/27 season. The 36‑year‑old, who joined the club’s youth system at age ten, has made 199 competitive appearances and won the DFB‑Pokal and the UEFA Europa League during his second spell with the team.
Beyond his playing duties, Chandler will take part in the club’s ProfiCamp at Deutsche Bank Park to gain insight into various organisational departments. Sporting director Timmo Hardung praised him as a role model for younger players. Chandler said the club is his “sporting home” and, with new coach Adi Hütter, hopes to help rebuild the side, noting this could be his final season as a player.
