Eintracht Frankfurt manager explains Keita Kosugi's absence from lineup

Eintracht Frankfurt manager Adi Hütter has explained why 20-year-old Japanese defender Keita Kosugi was left on the bench during the Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund. Despite starting every match so far this season, Kosugi did not see any playing time in the 0-1 defeat.

Hütter opted to play Elias Baum, a natural right-back, at left-back to counter Dortmund's aerial strength. The manager noted that Baum's height and previous experience in the position provided a tactical advantage against Dortmund's crossing ability. Kosugi, who stands at 168 cm, was deemed to have a physical disadvantage in this specific matchup compared to the 180 cm Baum.
