Eintracht Frankfurt raises bid for Nigeria's Raphael Onyedika amid Al Ittihad competition

Eintracht Frankfurt have increased their offer for 25‑year‑old Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika, submitting a bid worth up to €9 million in an effort to convince Belgian side Club Brugge to sell him this summer.

The German club hopes the signing will bolster a midfield that struggled defensively last season, conceding 65 league goals, and wants to outpace rival Saudi Pro League team Al Ittihad, which is also pursuing the player as a long‑term replacement for Fabinho. Onyedika’s contract runs until 2026‑27, and he has declined extensions, leaving Brugge to decide between a fee now or risking a free transfer next summer.
