Eintracht Frankfurt targets Young Boys sports chief Christoph Spycher

Eintracht Frankfurt is intensifying its pursuit of Christoph Spycher, the Chief of Sports at BSC Young Boys, to fill the vacancy left by Markus Krösche. Krösche is reportedly departing for AC Milan to serve as Head of Football.

Spycher, who has been with the Bern-based club for a decade, previously declined interest from Frankfurt in mid-September. However, recent reports suggest his decision is now uncertain, described as a “fifty-fifty” choice as the prospect of joining the Bundesliga becomes more enticing.

Frankfurt’s leadership, including CEO Axel Hellmann, has indicated a willingness to wait for Spycher to consider the offer. The club remains in a transitional phase following recent sporting stagnation and the departure of key personnel, though it maintains a strong financial position through high-value player transfers.
