EISA Camagüey adapts operations to combat energy shortages

The Camagüey branch of the Empresa Integral de Servicios Automotores José Smith Comas (EISA Camagüey) is undergoing operational changes to combat resource shortages and energy instability. Historically, the facility remotorized approximately 20 vehicles per month, specializing in engine repairs, fuel injection pumps, and component rectification, as well as bodywork and painting.

Due to electricity shortages and fuel scarcity, the facility experienced periods where production dropped to zero. To adapt, the company has diversified its activities, including renting out facilities and seeking third-party agreements for necessary equipment. The installation of solar panels has also been implemented to improve working conditions and service reliability for the more than 70 employees.
