Eisei Gekijo to broadcast nine rare OVA anime works in 2026

The CS broadcasting station Eisei Gekijo has announced a special OVA (Original Video Animation) programming event titled ‘Rewind the VHS! Our OVA Special,’ scheduled for September and October 2026.

The September lineup features works by Gosho Aoyama, including short story collections that utilize the staff and cast from ‘Detective Conan.’ These include ‘Chotto Mattete,’ Aoyama’s debut work, and ‘Sayonara Red Butterfly,’ which features a character setting change for the protagonist. Other September broadcasts include an original story based on CLAMP’s ‘Magic Knight Rayearth,’ the horror series ‘Vampire Princess Miyu,’ and ‘Tokyo Vice.’

In October, the station will air ‘Legend of Legaios,’ ‘Koryu Densetsu Vilgast,’ the school comedy ‘Puttsun Make LOVE,’ and the sci-fi action ‘Plastic Little.’ The collection highlights nine rare works produced between 1985 and 1999.
